Rationale:

Following the original non-selection decision for this topic in January 2025. NICE has engaged further with NHS England (NHSE), and the Prioritisation Board reconsidered the selection decision on 13 May 2026. We now understand from NHSE that an update to the existing doravirine NHSE commissioning policy would not suitably address the doravirine–islatravir combination as it is a therapeutically distinct new product. The Prioritisation Board recognised this and agreed that it was therefore appropriate to change the decision regarding doravirine–islatravir and to select it to be addressed through the technology appraisal process.
