Minor changes since publication
July 2026: Changes have been made to align this quality standard with the updated British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) guidelines on inflammatory bowel disease in adults (2025) and IBD UK's inflammatory bowel disease standards (2026). Definitions, references and source guidance sections have been updated. The National Inflammatory Bowel Disease Registry (NIBDR) is currently transitioning into NHS England's Outcomes Registries Programme (ORP). The data source for the quality measures included in this quality standard will be reviewed and updated once the NIBDR becomes operational.
