In November 2023 we held a consultation on proposed changes to the cost recovery mechanism for technology appraisals (TA) and highly specialised technologies (HST).
We received feedback on:
- fees for 2024-25
- evaluation timelines and commitment to pay
- introduction of a change fee
- a charge for technical engagement
- the charge for pilot topics and amendments to processes
- updates to refund procedures.
We have summarised the key themes from the consultation and developed a written response.
The changes described, including the 2024/25 fees, will come into effect from 1 April 2024.
