This assessment considered 16 digital platforms to support preparation before and rehabilitation after primary elective hip or knee replacement surgery. The technologies are designed to be used alongside routine NHS rehabilitation care. They provide support before and after surgery through exercise programmes, symptom check-ins, reminders and educational materials. An overview of the digital platform features is shown in table 1.
