How to comment
1. Register your organisation or comment as an individual
If you’re commenting for an organisation, your organisation needs to be registered as a stakeholder.
Not eligible? Contact the Stakeholder organisation that most closely represents your interests and pass your comments to them.
We can accept comments from individuals. These will be considered, but you won’t get a formal response and they won’t be posted on the NICE website. Wherever possible we encourage you to submit your comments through a registered stakeholder organisation.
This draft guideline is an adaptation of the 2023 international guideline (IG) on PCOS.
The committee reviewed the evidence and recommendations from the IG and assessed their relevance and applicability to the UK context, including current clinical practice and service delivery. Where appropriate, the committee has adapted recommendations to reflect UK‑specific considerations. Original health economic evaluation has also been undertaken to support decision‑making for this guideline.
Where a draft NICE recommendation has been derived from one or more IG recommendations the relevant IG recommendation numbers have been given in brackets at the end of the NICE recommendation. NICE’s assessments of the IG evidence reviews and recommendations, and rationales for the draft NICE recommendations are available in 5 adaptation reports. These correspond to the 5 main sections of the IG and follow the order of the IG’s subsections.
