NICE's Equality Scheme
NICE's equality scheme sets out how it is meeting its obligations on equality and discrimination and what it still needs to do. The original scheme and implementation plan covered the period from 2007 to the end of March 2010. The revised scheme and implementation plan covers the period from April 2010 to 2013.
NICE's annual equality report shows the progress made in implementing the scheme each year. There have been two annual equality reports so far - for 2007/08 and 2008/09.
NICE gets strategic advice on the equality scheme and how it implements it from the Annual Equality Forum, a meeting mainly of people from the groups most affected by the scheme. The Annual Equality Forum has met four times - in October 2008, October 2009, October 2010 and October 2011.
