Clinical guideline development methods
The guidelines manual has been updated following public consultation. The manual explains how NICE develops clinical guidelines and provides advice on the technical aspects of guideline development. It also contains An overview for stakeholders, the public and the NHS (2009 edition).
This document replaces 'The guidelines manual (2007)'.
The updated 'Guide to the short clinical guideline process' forms appendix N of the 'The guidelines manual (2009)'.
