The guidelines manual 2007
The 2007 edition of ‘The guidelines manual’ describes the process and methods used for all clinical guidelines for which consultation on the draft guideline started before 5 January 2009. For clinical guidelines that were in development at 5 January 2009 but for which public consultation had not yet started, the 2007 edition applies to the stages of development already begun. Stages from consultation on the draft guideline onwards will be conducted using the process and methods described in the 2009 edition of the manual. The draft and published full guidelines will specify which edition of ‘The guidelines manual’ was used for each stage of development.
