Diagnostics Assessment Programme pilot project
The DAP ran a pilot project (on non-invasive diagnostic assessment tools for the detection of liver fibrosis in patients with suspected alcohol related liver disease) to enable it to develop appropriate methods and processes to assess diagnostics. The pilot was independently evaluated by HITEC (Healthcare Innovation and Technology Evaluation Centre, Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust). NICE also produced a report on the pilot. An interim methods statement (pilot) describes the methodology used for the pilot.
