New workshops to support medical technology companies

NICE is participating in a new programme of regional workshops which aim to support medical technology companies.

The workshops are organised by the NIHR Office for Clinical Research Infrastructure (NOCRI) and the HealthTech & Medicines KTN, with the next one taking place on 23 February in Nottingham. The aim of the events is to provide companies with a "route map" to successfully translate ideas into commercial products.

The workshops will highlight the importance of understanding unmet clinical need and the generation of appropriate clinical evidence for medical technologies in supporting the uptake of new technology into clinical practice.

At the 23 February workshop, Mark Campbell, Associate Director - Medical Technologies Evaluation Programme at NICE, will present the session "NICE and the MedTech Evaluation Programme".
