Theory-based evaluation of complex community-based health initiatives

The aim of this paper is to outline one approach that lends itself particularly well to the evaluation of those kinds of complex community-based health promotion initiatives that are likely to be most suited to tackling inequalities in health. Such schemes vary considerably in their scope and detail but typically they tend to have a number of features in common.
