While these publications help support evidence-based decision making by public health practitioners, they do not represent NICE guidance.
HDA summary of activities 2001/2
The HDA’s role is to research, guide and support action to improve health and reduce health inequalities. Priorities for the current year include: to collate and synthesise evidence of what works in public health interventions, advise on best practice and standards, provide all those involved in health improvement work with access to a range of information services and undertake targeted development work; to support implementation of the <i>NHS Plan</i>; and support implementation of the public health workforce development plan.
