Smoking and public health
The aim of this compendium is to identify a wide range of material that might contribute to the development, design, implementation and impact of future initiatives on smoking behaviour in a broad range of socially disadvantaged population groups.
Specifically, this compendium aims to:
- identify smoking behaviour initiatives that focus on socially disadvantaged populations
- incorporate evidence from as wide a range of published sources as possible (eg from randomised controlled trials [RCTs] through to qualitative studies and expert opinion pieces)
- highlight cost-effectiveness data, conflicting findings, gaps in the findings and provide a steer for commissioning further research to address these issues.
