NICE Fellows and Scholars

In High Quality Care for All Lord Darzi stated: “For frontline staff, working with NICE is already considered a valuable opportunity for clinical professional development. In the next stage of its development, I would like to see NICE reach out even more proactively to local clinical communities as well as national ones. A key enabler of this will be the establishment of a fellowship programme”.

In response, NICE has created the NICE Fellows and Scholars Programme. NICE Fellowships and Scholarships will recognise the achievement and promise of NHS health professionals, contribute to their professional development, and foster a growing network of health professionals linked to NICE who will help to improve the quality of care in their local areas.

Further information about the programme, including guidance on eligibility and the application and selection process is available below. The deadline for applications for Fellowships and Scholarships starting in 2010 has closed. All Fellows and Scholars starting in 2010 should begin their Fellowship/Scholarship activities by 31st March 2010.

Any queries about the programme should be sent to nice@nice.org.uk so that they can be directed to the appropriate member of the NICE Fellows and Scholars team.
