NICE clinical guideline referrals to underpin quality standard development

In June and July 2012 the Department of Health referred 50 clinical guidelines to be developed by NICE. These new referrals are in order for NICE to develop the underpinning evidence base for NICE quality standards included in the quality standards topic library.

These topics will be scheduled into the clinical guidelines development programme over the coming months.

List of clinical guideline topics referred to NICE in June, July and December 2012

Abdominal aortic aneurysm

Acne

Acute medical admissions in the first 48 hours

Adrenal dysfunction

Assessment and imaging of patients at high risk of spinal injury

Asthma (including children)

Bronchiolitis

Challenging behaviour in people with learning disability
