Review decision - January 2008
Following consultation, the majority of comments received have led to the agreement that the depression indication only of the original guidance No. 97; on the use of computerised cognitive behaviour therapy (CCBT) for depression and anxiety be updated within the on-going NICE guideline on the treatment and management of depression in primary and secondary care. This will leave guidance on the remaining indications (anxiety and OCD) as they currently are.
The guidance on depression in No. 97 would remain current up to the point the new guideline on the treatment and management of depression in primary and secondary care is issued to the NHS (anticipated late Summer 2009).
The proposals for updating the remaining indications for anxiety and OCD covered in the guidance for TA97 will be considered as per the existing review date (September 2008).
