Cryotherapy for renal cancer
Summary
The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has issued full guidance to the NHS in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland on cryotherapy for renal cancers.
Description
Renal cancer occurs in the lining of the very small tubes in the kidney. Cryotherapy uses cold temperature to destroy cancer cells through the insertion of a freezing probe into the tumour.
