1 June 2009 The first draft of the scope is currently in preparation. The scope will define what aspects of care the guideline will cover and to whom it will apply
18 September 2007 The remit was received from the Department of Health and the Welsh Assembly Government in April as part of the Institute's 16th wave work programme.
25 August 2009

Recruitment for GDG members closed on 24 August 2009

Consultation on the draft scope is complete and the scope is being modified in the light of comments received. When completed it will be posted on the website. It will define what aspects of care the guideline will cover and to whom it will apply. The National Collaborating Centre and the Institute are in the process of agreeing details of the workplan including how the development will progress, the membership of the Guideline Development Group and timescales.   

8 October 2009 The scope defines what aspects of care are covered by the guideline and to whom it applies. Comments that were made by stakeholders during the consultation on the scope can be seen in the scope consultation table. The Guideline Development Group (GDG) oversees the development process.
