Order NICE guidance

Changes to the supply of printed copies NICE guidance

In October 2011 we made some important changes to how you can access NICE guidance. All new guidance is published in a range of formats on our website, including NICE Pathways and 'web-view' formats.

We no longer supply or mail printed copies of our guidance. A substantial increase in the quantity and range of NICE guidance in recent years means that:

  • In the face of challenging savings and efficiency targets, we do not have the resource to print and mail guidance any more.
  • The increasing complexity and inter-relatedness of our guidance products makes it increasingly difficult to keep printed copies up to date.
  • Feedback on NICE Pathways - our new way of providing quick and easy access, topic by topic, to the range of guidance from NICE - has proved very popular and we are concentrating our resources on enhancing and developing this and other services.

The best way of keeping up to date with everything NICE has produced is to subscribe to NICE news, our monthly email newsletter which contains news and information on our entire range of guidance, quality standards, news on QOF and NHS Evidence, as well as a complete list of guidance and tools produced that month.

Order HDA publications

NICE is also responsible for making available Health Development Agency (HDA) publications. A list of these publications is available to download. A CD-ROM of HDA publications can be ordered by contacting us by phone, fax or email and quoting N1453.
