Using the list of published public health guidance
What the columns show
- Reference
Reference letter or number of the guidance. - Title
Public health guidance title. Each title links to a page of summary information for the guideline. -
Wave
The Department of Health (DH) refers public health topics to NICE in waves (batches). The wave number indicates when the topic was referred to NICE. From July 2001, there have been approximately two waves a year. For each topic, the third column will say:- wave number
- review (an updated version of a previously issued document).
- Publication (or issue) date
The date the guidance was issued in England. - Review date.
The guidance will be updated as needed and information on the progress of any update will be posted on this website
Sorting the table
The list can be sorted by: reference number, title (alphabetically), wave number or date issued. Click the column once or twice depending on whether you want an ascending or descending list.
