Using the list of published public health guidance

What the columns show

  • Reference

  • Title
Public health guidance title. Each title links to a page of summary information for the guideline.
  • Wave
The Department of Health (DH) refers public health topics to NICE in waves (batches). The wave number indicates when the topic was referred to NICE. From July 2001, there have been approximately two waves a year. For each topic, the third column will say:
    • wave number
    • review (an updated version of a previously issued document).
  • Publication (or issue) date
The date the guidance was issued in England.
  • Review date.
The guidance will be updated as needed and information on the progress of any update will be posted on this website
