Last week, NICE's Citizens Council - a group which brings the views of the public to NICE's decision-making - spent two days debating the ins and outs of using incentives as an effective way of encouraging people to make positive lifestyle changes, such as giving up smoking or losing weight.

Almost one in three men over 50 in the UK has ‘waterworks' problems. Many mistakenly accept their symptoms as a normal part of getting older - or simply feel too embarrassed to talk to anyone about it.

On 30 April, NHS Evidence celebrated its first birthday. Since launching, NHS Evidence has proved itself easy to use, fast, reliable and trustworthy. Over a million searches a month are now carried out on NHS Evidence, with staff now able to access more than 150 collections of evidence.
