2004/004 NICE issues clinical guideline on type 2 diabetes - prevention and management of foot problems

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence has today (28th January 2004) issued the fifth and final guideline in its series of guidelines on Type 2 diabetes. The new guideline “Management of Type 2 Diabetes: Prevention and Management of Foot Problems” covers the education of people with Type 2 diabetes and carers about foot problems, identifying “at risk” individuals and the prevention, detection and treatment of foot problems.
