2005/004 New guideline from NICE will improve diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the National Collaborating Centre for Acute Care have today issued guidance for the NHS in England and Wales on the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. The guideline also updates the NICE technology appraisal guidance No 26 on the use of docetaxel, paclitaxel, gemcitabine and vinorelbine for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer first published in 2001.
