NICE shared learning award 2008
In 2008 the submissions were judged under three categories: projects covering general implementation systems or approaches, projects focused on implementing specific clinical guidance and projects focused on getting public health guidance into practice. The short listed candidates were given a platform to present their work to their peers at the NICE conference.

- Using a NICE Implementation Steering Group to link the commissioning role of the PCT with the education and training strategy for General Practice teams - Bournemouth and Poole Teaching PCT
The judging panel for the final of the award consisted of:

- Danny Keenan, National Clinical Advisor, Healthcare Commission
- Dr Phil Hammond, GP & Broadcaster
- Caroline Watts, Associate Director - Health, Audit Commission
The overall winner received a trophy, certificate and £1000 to be spent on NICE implementation within their organisation along with their £500 category winner's prize. The other two category winners also received a cheque for £500 each plus a certificate.
