Welcome to the NICE Shared Learning Awards 2009

Established to celebrate your achievements in implementing NICE guidance, the Shared Learning Awards recognise and reward the very best of the examples entered on our Shared Learning Database.

Share your commitment to innovation and improving healthcare

The Shared Learning Awards give you an opportunity to share your experiences with colleagues in the NHS and the public health sector. This is your chance to tell us what worked, what didn’t work and what you learnt.

Shortlisted candidates will be given a platform to present their work to their peers at the NICE conference in December 2009. Along with the personal and professional satisfaction of winning an award, there is a £1000 cash prize up for grabs in each category to support implementation projects in your organisation. Shortlisted candidates will be offered free and discounted places at the NICE conference and there are also possible opportunities for further national and local press coverage for your organisation.

Highlight your hard work and expertise within your field

This year the submissions will be judged under three categories:

  • Examples focused on implementing specific clinical guidance.
  • Examples covering general implementation systems or approaches including commissioning, financial planning and audit and evaluation processes.
  • Implementation examples of guidance promoting health and wellbeing.
