In February 2023, NICE withdrew this guidance following a review. As evident in NICE's guideline on atrial fibrillation, the evidence base and experts’ advice, the landscape for opportunistically detecting atrial fibrillation in primary care has changed significantly since the original guidance, with a wider range of devices for detecting atrial fibrillation now available.
