See evidence review A and evidence review B providing the best advice to the NHS about its use. As evident in NICE's guideline on atrial fibrillation, the evidence base and experts’ advice, the landscape for opportunistically detecting atrial fibrillation in primary care has changed significantly since the original guidance, with a wider range of devices for detecting atrial fibrillation now available.
